Closed-loop solution for repairing high-voltage cable ablation defects cracks industry problems and leads industry development
State Grid Beijing joint Han cable shares and other units successfully completed the capital's first 110kV high-voltage cable ablation repair, marking the liquid injection repair technology to achieve a major breakthrough. The technology through the injection of special semi-conductive repair fluid to rebuild the conductive channel, an effective solution to the industry plagued by many years of buffer layer ablation, its prevention and control technology has been certified by the international leading, and the formation of “detection - assessment - repair - monitoring” complete closed-loop program, highlighting the Han cable from the product supplier to the results of the transformation of high-value-added service providers. -

Influence of morphological variations on the AC breakdown of XLPE insulation in submarine cable factory joints
This study investigates the morphological variations in 500kV XLPE submarine cables and factory joints, analyzing their impact on dielectric properties and AC breakdown strength. Samples from the cable bulk, cable-joint transition, and factory joint were examined using extraction tests, FTIR, DSC, and XRD. Results show that factory joints exhibit higher crosslinking byproducts, sparser crystal structures, and lower crystallinity compared to the cable bulk, leading to reduced AC breakdown performance. These findings provide critical insights for optimizing XLPE insulation morphology, particularly in submarine cable factory joints. -
